I`m a senior lecturer of sculpture and installation art and leader of the Contemporary Art Research Group in the Turku Arts Academy. My pedagogical approach situates in practice – / project based working, leaning towards ecological issues and public art. I have a strong network of academic colleagues in different European countries – at the moment I´m a member of the ELIA Art and Ecology Working Group. I´m familiar with transnational co-working with large academic institutions as well as smaller artist-led organizations. I also know many European funding instruments, like Creative Europe and Erasmus +.

SUSTAINABLE VISUAL ARTS NETWORK
The Sustainable Visual Arts Network is a peer network that aims to support and strengthen the competence of visual arts organisations on issues related to the sustainability transition. I participated strongly in the development of the network as a represetentative of Turku Arts Academy. Visit the Green Art pages here.

INTENSIVE WORKSHOPS
ITÄHARJU OBSERVATORY
The Itäharju Observatory was a project carried out by sculpture students and myself in 2022. An abandoned office building in an industrial area served as a fieldwork station for a month. The students realized their ideas for spatial experiments by building installations in the space using materials collected from the surrounding area.
